Going back to quality of SotO contents, I think the major contents (rifts and metas) are such a huge step backwards for the game. It's just a lazy copy and paste. For rifts, all 3 tiers are exactly the same. For the first phase, I mindlessly kill enemies that randomly spawn all over the place until the bar fills up. There will be two sets of the the same mastery track, but basically if you do both tracks then your perks get extras. This isn't a time limitted thing - you are not rewarded for already having the skyscale in a way thats unfair to people.

Unfortunately, no. You do need all the LS4 maps. You can always buy gems with ingame gold. but that would be a lot more expensive than the Griffin, lol. Well, you also will get way more than only a mount. Yep, and imo the LS4 maps are some of the best in the game. The skyscale collections require you to visit all the LW4 maps.

There are two meta in SoTO so you will have to use Skyscale to get around on each floating Island during at least one meta and the main Wizard Tower meta is the same where you are supposed to use mounts during different phase to avoid getting killed while ground are getting swarmed by Kryptis and large AoEs. This doesn’t make sense. Perhaps you’d have a point if you have to unlock the masteries on each character, but it’s an account wide unlock.
