Its really upto you if you change the dmf if its not rattling, I found one at a good price so changed it any way, it had done 90k. Save Share.
Ifyou intend to keep the oil change at Alfa Spec (ie a long time), then 40 is probably better as it holds up better, as oil thins over time and gets contaminants. The filter housing tool I'm using is from halford and it lazer 17 flute 80 mm. I've just come out from under the car.
